The Usui Method of Natural Healing (Usui Shiki Ryoho) works by placing the hands on or around the body so that the Reiki healing energy may flow. Reiki has its origins from Buddhist scriptures and was described by the Buddha in his teachings of healing, meditation and higher consciousness. One of his scrolls, the Buddha Healing Scroll of Avlokiteshsvara (the Bodhisatva of Healing and Compassion), was found by Japanese mystic Mikao Usui around a century ago. Usui meditated upon this method of higher consciousness and rediscovered this wonderful spiritual healing method, now called The Usui Method of Natural Healing.

Jason Betts is an author and inventor and holds university degrees in science and philosophy and diplomas in massage, acupuncture, metaphysical science and western mystery school wisdom. Jason Betts is the only Traditional Japanese Reiki Master in Tasmania. The American style of Reiki has one chakra attunement over the crown of the head which is done four times. The way Usui taught Reiki 100 years ago was one attunement over each of the top four chakras - heart, throat, forehead and crown of the head, which is how it is still taught in Japan today. DOCTOR OF DIVINITY PROGRAM

The Order of the Mystic Rose (Inc, Tas) has a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) program consisting of 3 diplomas, which are a Diploma of Reiki, Diploma of Metaphysics and a Diploma of Theology.

Graduates of the Doctorate will have the title Doctor, as given by the Order of the Mystic Rose, and the option for ministerial work within the organisation, such as teaching and healing, with the title Reverend (Rev).

The Diploma of Metaphysics will run every May and October in Hobart, and the Diploma of Theology every June and November in Hobart. Monthly Reiki training weekends and weekly groups are held statewide. All course fees may be paid in affordable monthly payments.

Sapientia 2, 3, 4 are two day classes of 11 mysteries each and a self-assessment lesson.
